The Brotherhood of Elders Network presents: Real Talk about the Town
Open public political debate is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy and is often being replaced by polarizing accusations, diverting attention away from the issues central to governing, and providing essential resources for our communities. While this issue is less prevalent locally, there are few opportunities which allow candidates to articulate their strategies for addressing community challenges while interacting with voters.
In an effort to enhance greater civic engagement and allow candidates to effectively reach larger segments of the voting population, the Brotherhood of Elders Network is introducing: Real Talk About the Town. The initiative allows candidates to respond to questions designed to uplift the issues facing our most vulnerable communities. The forum also allows residents to provide feedback to candidates’ responses to those questions.
