BWOPA California supports Yes on Proposition 3 because strong public schools and access to health care are essential to thriving families and communities. Proposition 3 would make permanent the existing voter-approved income tax rates on high-income Californians that are scheduled to expire in 2031.

With less than 25 days until Election Day, BWOPA California is encouraging every voter to get informed, make a plan and help others prepare to participate. Our voices carry power—and voting is one way we put that power into action on the issues affecting our families and communities.
The Power of the Black Vote is a statewide civic engagement initiative convened and powered by Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA-CA) in partnership with organizations across California committed to strengthening civic participation through nonpartisan voter education and outreach.
