TODAY IS THE DAY. LET’S FINISH STRONG!
Today is the day we have prepared for—and worked toward together.
Every conversation, every volunteer hour, and every act of leadership brought us to this moment. Thank you.
Today is the day we have prepared for—and worked toward together.
We organized community leaders, powered four weeks of phone banking, engaged congregations through church presentations, sent rounds of text messages, and mobilized our communities. We hosted civic education sessions, developed toolkits and weekly newsletters, and amplified our message through social media, outdoor advertising, and radio.
Every conversation, every volunteer hour, and every act of leadership brought us to this moment. Thank you.
Our hope is that you have already cast your ballot—and encouraged and helped five others do the same. If you haven’t voted yet, make it your first priority today! Drop off your completed ballot at an official ballot drop box or voting location early, before the 8 p.m. deadline.
Know your rights. If you are in line when polls close at 8 p.m., stay in line—you have the right to vote. Visit sos.ca.gov for official voting information, your rights at the polls, and ballot tracking resources.
Then, let’s gather tonight as the polls close to watch the results come in, celebrate our collective work, and thank the people who made it possible. We are cheering on our endorsed candidates and working toward the outcomes we have championed on the ballot propositions.
Our work continues beyond Election Day. Today, let’s make every effort count—and every voice heard.
We are the change.
We are building Black political power for equity.

Today is the day we have prepared for—and worked toward together.
Every conversation, every volunteer hour, and every act of leadership brought us to this moment. Thank you.

BWOPA California supports Yes on Proposition 3 because strong public schools and access to health care are essential to thriving families and communities. Proposition 3 would make permanent the existing voter-approved income tax rates on high-income Californians that are scheduled to expire in 2031.

With less than 25 days until Election Day, BWOPA California is encouraging every voter to get informed, make a plan and help others prepare to participate. Our voices carry power—and voting is one way we put that power into action on the issues affecting our families and communities.
The Power of the Black Vote is a statewide civic engagement initiative convened and powered by Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA-CA) in partnership with organizations across California committed to strengthening civic participation through nonpartisan voter education and outreach.
